A Higher RF Gain windscreen mounted antenna this would increase the detection range by approximately 50%. The detection range will depend on a number of factors such as:

  • The strength of the transmitted signal
  • The distance from the transmitted signal
  • The surrounding terrain

You can easily upgrade to the Higher RF Gain windscreen mounted antenna without the need for any special tools.

 Python P2 Power Booster Module: 

You can increase the detection range of your Python P2 detector by fitting a Power Booster Module. The Power Booster Module will increase the sensitivity of your detector by approximately 25%.

The detection range will depend on a number of factors such as:

  • The strength of the transmitted signal
  • The distance from the transmitted signal
  • The surrounding terrain

You can easily upgrade your Python P2 to the Power Booster Module without the need for any special tools.

Installation: Make sure you fit the Power Booster Module in the correct orientation as the connector will only fit in one position. Once the Power Booster Module is fitted the green BST LED will be illuminated on the visual display and the green LED will be illuminated on the Power Booster Module showing that the power booster is active.

Once active the Power Booster Module will set your detector sensitivity level automatically to boost sensitivity level 6.


 Magnetic Dash Mount: 

If you want to mount the detector in another location in your vehicle you can use the self-adhesive magnetic dash mount that will allow you to position your detector on the dash or center console.

You can easily upgrade to the Magnetic Dash Mount without the need for any special tools.

Note: If are using the Python with the standard antenna, ensure that you can mount the detector as high as possible on the vehicles dashboard to ensure the best detection.

If you mount the optional magnetic dash mount on a lower position in your vehicle (for example under neither your dashboard), we recommend that you upgrade to a Higher Gain RF antenna.


 12V DC Charging Lead (In-Car Use): 

The Python detectors can be charged from the vehicles auxiliary power socket using the in car charging lead which is supplied with your detector.

Should you need an additional 12V DC Power Charging Lead you can obtain these from our store to ensure you have the correct Charging Lead for your detector.

The Python detectors can be charged at home using our Mains Plug Adapter. This device allows you to connect the 12V DC Charging Lead to a standard UK mains outlet allowing you to charge your detector at home ready for your next journey.
